Dear Marcy, Marla & Marni,

Although it says “my hero” we’re taking the liberty to write this to our three daughters. Marni has been the personification of “knock me down 5 times, I will get up 6” and each time stronger. Always determined “to be just like everyone else,” she pushed herself to do things that turned our hair grey. We remain in awe of our baby girl’s ability to overcome and be a light in the lives of all she touches.

But when one child is sick and parents are distracted, it puts unfair demands on the other children. By Marcy and Marla always being supportive, learning and caring about their sister’s disease, never complaining if we weren’t available all the time, helping us cope when they too were struggling, makes them our heroes as well.
We are so proud of our 3 strong, caring, loving daughters – a fierce threesome.

You are my Hero!

Love, Mom and Dad
