Dear Mica,

Want to tell you how proud I am of you! This has been a very interesting year for you. The year started with such promise and celebration. Your started your college career at UCSB so strong. You successfully transitioned to living on your own and you transformed into a successful student athlete. All this came to an abrupt stop a couple of months ago. It would have been understandable if you got angry or depressed or simply moody. Instead, your put yourself on the front lines of battling this disease to help the people of East Los Angeles get COVID tested. I am in awe of your quiet strength and courage. I know that all this might be a setback to your original plans but I also know your best days are ahead.

You are my Hero!

Matt/Dad
