Dear Music Friend,

M, although you are no longer here with us, your strength, courage and quiet dignity when dealing with extreme adversity and a terminal cancer diagnosis, continues to inspire me. I still look over sometimes when playing in our symphony and expect to exchange a knowing glance or clandestine smile with you. You taught me how to appreciate the power of music, and your lessons of unassuming elegance and dignity helped me to endure the tragedy that would soon befall our family. You will always be the woman I admire most of all the musicians I have encountered in my lifetime. The gift of your music is transcendent.

You are my Hero!

Love, A
