Dear Sam,

You may remember that we met five years ago when Coach Val introduced us when I was visiting UCLA. You were kind enough to speak at my middle-school. I want to share how much of an impact you’ve had on me.

You are the reason I never stop reaching for my goals. We met when I was in sixth grade. You advised me to stick with goals and not let anything stop me. At the time, I had an injured foot and I was very frustrated. Your positive words kept me going and you are a main reason I never gave up. I still hear your words in my head when I tackle something new. I really believe I can do anything I set my mind to.

Sam, you are such an inspiration to me. I look up to you so much in my everyday life. I will always remember the time I met you.

You are my Hero!

Lexi
